At Kodiak, we aim to make your customization process as seamless and as flexible as possible. To ensure your custom design looks impeccable on your promotional products, we accept a variety of file formats. However, please note that not every file format may be suitable for all items. This is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
For a deep dive into the various file formats for customizing your items, consider exploring our Knowledge Center page. Meanwhile, here's a brief overview of the acceptable artwork files:
Vector Files for PC or MAC: These files are the most straightforward to format. Acceptable vector file formats include Adobe Illustrator (.AI or .EPS), Corel Draw (.CDR), and Macromedia Freehand (.FH). Please ensure that your fonts are converted to outlines!
High-Resolution Adobe Photoshop Files: File extensions like .TIFF, .PDF, and .PSD fall under this category. We request these files to be sized to 100% of the actual imprint size or larger and saved at a resolution of at least 600 dpi.
Low-Quality Files: These include low-resolution image file formats, like .JPEG and .GIF, as well as formats not directly made for art programs, like .DOC and .PPT files. Artwork submitted in any of these formats may need to be redrawn or recreated.
Images from the Internet: We always strive for utmost quality. Therefore, we might not be able to accept any low-quality images saved from the Internet. However, please feel free to reach out to our customer service team if you have any queries about this!
Our preferred formats range from Adobe Illustrator files (.ai, .eps), Adobe Photoshop files (.psd), to rasterized images meeting a minimum requirement of 300-600 dpi (.jpg, .png, .tiff).
All full-color artwork should meet our minimum resolution requirement of at least 300 dpi. All fonts/text must be included with your file or converted to outlines.
These guidelines ensure that your custom design reaches its full potential on your promotional products. If your artwork does not conform to one of these formats, don't worry! We may be able to help convert it to an acceptable format.
Nevertheless, remember that these are guidelines only, and not all files submitted with these extensions are guaranteed to work. Each project is evaluated individually, and our team is here to ensure success at each step of your journey with Kodiak!
